ARA has the competence to bundle up the biogas plants of similar construction
and process pattern to reduce the transaction costs comparable to that
of a single plant. This maximises the revenue as the transaction cost
remain same even with the increase in the amount of carbon. ARA has already
created such a pool for biogas plants within the agricultural sector called
biogas CO2mpetence®.
The principle is simple: as soon as an operator of a biogas plant to be
built decides to join biogas CO2mpetence®, ARA takes
care of the entire processes of validation, verification and sales management.
The proceeds are for the benefit of both ARA and the operator. The operator
gets the option to determine his ratio of the proceeds by choosing his
share in biogas CO2mpetence®.
Only projects that meet the highest quality requirements on climate efficiency
and compatibility to the Kyoto standard will be accepted for biogas CO2mpetence®.
Recently, the projects Gundorf, Sandbeiendorf and Hennstedt/ Dithmarschen
are members of biogas CO2mpetence®.
